A curved all in one wasn’t the only thing Samsung decided to announce today. Among the company’s plethora of pre-CES announcements was a 12 inch fanless laptop that seems more reasonably priced and specced than its curved desktop counterpart. The specs rundown, for an ultrabook, is also fairly competitive for its price. The laptop features a 12.2 inch 2560×1600 display being powered by a Intel Core M-Y510c and 4GB RAM. The laptop also ships with a 128GB SSD and 802.11ac WiFi at base configuration (which starts at $1200).
The Core M inside this laptop won’t win any awards over low power variants of the Core i5 and Core i7 in other Samsung laptops, especially given how worse Core M performed on the Yoga 3 Pro versus that laptop’s predecessor. Nevertheless though, the ATIV Book 9 is a compelling choice for those who are looking to buy an ultrabook next year.
